What Can I offer?

I am a compassionate, experienced and qualified counsellor with 10 years of life and knowledge experience and a lot of counselling hours of helping unique individuals find their way through their challenges and difficulties.

These are counselling styles I use to fit each unique individual I work with

  • Person Centred
  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
  • Mindfulness
  • Solution Focused
  • TBR3 - Rewind
  • Trauma-informed Therapist

I offer a safe space where you can express your thoughts and feelings in a calm, confidential garden room in a quiet area of Higham Ferrers.

Where you can be yourself to explore ways to set your own goals/ outcomes, where it allows you to discuss what it is you are having difficulties with "a lot on your plate", it may be that you just need to talk things through.

It can feel overwhelming and frustrating because everything has been locked away for so long and you don't know where to start or something has just happened and you need to explore your options.

I have helped many unique individuals with all sorts of complex needs such as

  • Traumatic events: birth, loss,
  • violent partner,
  • Life-changing accidents
  • Rape
  • Sexual abuse
  • Relationships
  • Domestic violence
  • ADHD
  • Autism
  • Personality Disorder
  • Bullying
  • Autism
  • Childhood trauma
  • Loss
  • Disability
  • Dyslexia
  • Chronic illness and pain
  • Witnessing a traumatic events
  • To name a few

                                                                                           What is counselling

Counselling is for people who are having difficulties and need someone to talk to that isn't family or friends and can help them to get a better insight into themselves. Being able to talk things over with a trained and qualified counsellor like myself,  who will not judge you and will listen, so you feel heard can be helpful in understanding your world and the world around us when we feel somewhat conflicted or uncomfortable in the surrounding of your day to day lives.

I will try to see the world through your eyes, in us working together we will spend a lot of time exploring what is going on for you in your life.

I know when you start counselling that it can feel nerve-racking until you have started talking, the build-up leaves you with all sorts of sensations and feelings you cannot handle and just need to let them out, that's what I'm here for so you feel supported in a safe environment.

I am here to help you work through your thoughts and feelings, making them easier to handle. You are the expert of your life, you just don't know it yet.

Counselling is far from "one pill fixes all", counselling is a way to offload and I am here to make sure you are happy and comfortable within our professional relationship.

I agree and abide by the strict code of ethics set out by the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).

If you want to know more, please contact me for a free 20-minute phone consultation to discuss what it is you need counselling for.
